FRANKLIN ADAMS MEACHAM, M.D., the great great grandson of Miriam Cleaveland, was prepared for college at Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass., and was graduated with honors as A. B. from Yale University 1887. Then studying medicine, he received his degree as M.D. from the medical department of the University of Virginia in 1889.
Regular physical located in Salt Lake City, where he still resides and is engaged in general practice. Was appointed assistant surgeon to the Holy Cross Hospital of that city June 30, 1890. Dr. Meacham was appointed city physician and a member of the Board of Health of Salt Lake City, the first Gentile to hold that office in that city. Appointed president of Board of United States Examing Surgeons for Pensions.
Member of Salt Lake County Medical Society, and Salt Lake Academy of Medicine ; member of Society of Colonial Wars in the State of Illinois, of Sons of the American Revolution, of Society of War of 181 2, of Military Order of the, Loyal Legion of the United States, all by inheritance.
