Judge, FRANKLIN ABEL CLEAVELAND was captain of Co. B, 8th Iowa Volunteers, in the war of 186 1-5, and was taken prisoner at the battle of Shiloh, remaining for a time in the hands of the enemy.
Residence Norwood Park (1879-97), formerly a merchant of Chicago. Is Police Magistrate, Justice of the Peace, Notary Public in Chicago, and in the insurance and real estate business (1895-7).
