JEREMIAH CLEVELAND removed to Tennessee in 1833, and settled in Bedford county, Tennessee, in 1833, and always afterward lived at Wartrace. He owned there the finest farm in Tennessee. Mr. Cleveland was one of the first promoters of the Nashville & Chattanooga R. R., Tenn., which has always been so important to the interests of the State. He was a much esteemed, useful member of the community. The compilers of the Cleveland Family Genealogy are glad to insert (through the kindness of his son, Mr. Thomas Stone’ Cleveland) the portrait of Jeremiah, with those of Thomas S and wife, in a group.
